National Wage Committee increased 17% to masonry workers in the area to try to knock

Santo Domingo .- The National Wage Committee ordered an increase of 17% for all workers who perform their work in the area of \u200b\u200bthe masonry.
An entity under the Ministry of Labour, by resolution 2 / 2011 provides that with this new wage rate shall be amended in all other aspects that prove necessary.
The resolution states that it should be placed in conspicuous places in each establishment where such work performed.
The measure is contained in Articles 452, 453, 454, 455, 456, 457, 458, 459, 460, 461, 462, 463 and 464 of the Labour Code and its Rules of Procedure No. 512, dated 10 December 1997, which establishes the allocation to the National Wage Committee for such modifications.
More than one hundred (100) rates for different lines in the area of \u200b\u200bmasonry were reviewed after this increase, which will not apply to those workers when the current tariff approved is entitled to a wage higher than it fixes, as it sets the document sent by the entity, protected by Article 217 of the Labor Code.
However, it states that if an employer and its employees agree to improve the new wages are free to do so without prejudice to the parties.
